Your Travelcard invoice will look different from 2027

From 2027, we’re updating the layout and content of our invoices. This will make transactions, VAT information and invoice details easier to read and process. For transactions outside the Benelux, we’re also aligning our invoicing more closely with local VAT regulations in different European countries.

Nothing changes in how you use your Travelcard pass.

  • Your invoice will be structured more clearly
  • VAT information will be displayed more clearly
  • You’ll receive a separate invoice for each country
  • Your Travelcard will continue to work as usual

Why are the invoices changing?

We’re updating our invoices to present information more clearly and to better align with VAT regulations in the different European countries where Travelcard is used. The updated invoice also gives more room for clear specifications of transactions, costs and VAT.

This makes it easier for finance teams to check and process invoices.

A different entity may appear on some invoices

Travelcard is part of the Corpay group. This means that some invoices may show a different entity than you’re used to.For transactions outside the Benelux, the invoice will be issued by an entity within the Corpay group that has the correct local VAT registrations. These entities use the correct local VAT registration. As a result, these invoices may show different company details and VAT numbers than you normally see.

Charging electricity for own use or resale

For organisations that recharge or resell charging costs to their own customers, different VAT rules may apply. If you only use charging electricity for your own organisation, for example to charge company vehicles, nothing changes. Do you recharge or resell charging electricity to third parties? Please contact us.

What is not changing?

  • You can continue using your Travelcard pass as usual.

  • Invoices will continue to be collected via Travelcard, just as they are now.

  • This change has no impact on the availability or use of Travelcard services.

Important: what do you need to do?

We recommend checking the following points before the new invoices are introduced.

Inform your finance team

Make sure your finance team is aware of this change in good time. This helps them prepare for the new invoice layout, the updated VAT presentation and the possibility of receiving separate invoices per country.

Check your financial systems

Check whether your systems can process the new invoices correctly. This is especially important if you use an accounts payable workflow, purchase-to-pay system, EID file, EDI connection or another form of automated invoice processing.

The invoice issuer may differ

For some transactions outside the Benelux, a different invoice issuer may appear on your invoice. Please check that your systems can recognise and process these details.

Assess the impact on your administration

Check whether receiving separate invoices per country affects your internal administration, VAT processes or reporting.

Do you recharge charging electricity?

Do you resell or recharge charging electricity to customers or other third parties? Please contact Travelcard. Specific VAT rules may apply in this situation.

Example: how your invoice may change
